Colorado long-ball in the eleventh stuns Mariners

It was all up until the ninth inning where everything was going well for the M's, until closer Fernando Rodney gave up two runs which tied the game at five.

Prior to that however, the Mariners were playing solid baseball. Lead by RHP Taijaun Walker, who tossed 7.1 innings giving up five hits, three runs and striking out five, the Mariners looked smooth again early.

LF Franklin Gutierrez offensively has been on fire for the Mariners. He was especially on Wednesday with three hits, and two RBI's which put the Mariners ahead 5-3 at one point. Taijaun Walker also collected an RBI, remember, National League Ballpark, so #PitchersRake there. Walker hit a line drive single to send in a run for the M's. That's called "Helping Yourself Out."

Unfortunately, in the bottom of the eleventh inning Mariners' RHP Mayckol Guaipe gave up a two run HR to Rockies C Michael McKenry which put the series finale in the books for the M's marked with an L.

The Mariners will take Thursday off, followed by a new series back at Safeco against the Texas Rangers. Tune in Friday on ROOTsports NW™ or listen at 710 ESPN Seattle. Follow @Mariners365 or @t_haydz for more updates.
