Mariners take control in game two, defeat Astros 8-3

The M's and 'stros were all tied up heading into about the eighth inning on Wednesday at Minute maid Park in Houston. That's whe n things opened up for the Mariners offensively, putting up five runs. Logan Morrison was another great contibutor as he launched his 15th HR on the year, a two-run shot in the ninth. Another contribution came with recent call-up, CF Shawn O'Malley. O'Malley went 3-4 with three hits and two RBI's on the night. 

Taijuan Walker pitched a decent outing on Wednesday, going 6.2 innings giving up five hits, three runs, and striking out three. 

The Mariners will take Thursday night off, then it is back to work on Friday as the club will head to Oakland. Edgar Olmos (1-0, 2.13 ERA.) will face OAK RHP Aaron Brooks (1-1, 5.47 ERA.) Catch this one, a 10:10 PAC start, 7:05 ET on ROOT Sports NW, or listen in on 710 ESPN Seattle.
